Is this the right method for your line?
We tell you when this method works — and when it does not. Not every line can be lined, and not every line should be. Here is the honest criteria.
When it works
- You have recurring backups and want to know what is actually wrong
- Another company gave you a quote and you want a second opinion — we run our own camera
- You are buying or selling a home and the sewer scope found an issue
- You want to verify the condition of your line before a remodel or addition
- You have a camera video from another company and want it reviewed
When it doesn't
- You have no symptoms and no reason to inspect — a camera inspection is diagnostic, not preventative
- The line is actively backing up and needs immediate clearing — we jet first, then camera
The technical process, explained
High-resolution camera through the cleanout
We run a high-resolution color camera through your sewer line from the cleanout — no digging, no equipment in the house. The camera transmits to a monitor where you watch the inspection with us in real time. We point out every crack, root, offset, belly, and joint issue.
Electronic locating
The camera head has a transmitter that we track from the surface with a locator. This tells us exactly where each problem area is underground — to within inches — so we know the depth and location before we quote any repair.
You get the inspection
We hand you the camera inspection on a the inspection results — for your records, for a home sale, for comparing quotes, for insurance. You should never approve a sewer repair without seeing the inspection yourself.
Process steps
Here is what happens at your property — and what you will see at each step.
- 1
Access the cleanout
We locate and access the cleanout — usually outside the house. If no cleanout exists, we discuss options.
On your property: A technician with a camera reel — no digging. - 2
Camera run
We run the camera through the entire lateral to the public connection, showing you the inspection in real time.
On your property: You watch on a monitor and we explain what we see. - 3
Locate problem areas
We mark the surface location of each issue with the electronic locator.
On your property: Spray-painted marks on the ground showing where problems are. - 4
Assessment and quote
We explain what we found and, if repair is needed, give you a written quote.
On your property: A printed quote with the inspection results.
What's different about free sewer camera inspection here
Home sale sewer scopes
In Tucson's real estate market, sewer scope inspections are increasingly common during home sales — especially for homes built before 1975 with original cast iron or clay. If the scope finds an issue, buyers and sellers need to know if it is a cleaning or a less repair. Our free camera inspection gives you the inspection and an honest assessment to negotiate from.
Reviewing another company's video
If you have a camera video from another company — especially one that came with a large quote — bring it to us. We review it at no charge and tell you if we see the same things they see, or if we interpret the inspection differently. A second set of eyes on the same video can save you thousands.
Pre-1975 cast iron and clay
Homes in Sam Hughes, Blenman-Elm, El Encanto, and Colonia Solana built before 1975 almost universally have original cast iron or vitrified clay laterals. A camera inspection tells you the current condition — whether the line has decades left or is nearing the end of its service life. This is valuable information for budgeting, insurance, and resale.
